Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs with Rev. Richard Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, OK under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. Herbert was born Tuesday, March 1, 1921 in Oka, Arkansas to Charlie M. Haston and Pearl Taylor Haston. Herbert married Erma Lea Dayton on September 27, 2001 in Lawton, OK. Herbert lived in Arkansas before moving to Rush Springs in 1970. He served in the US Army during WW II. Herbert was owner and operator of Herb’s auto parts in Rush Springs. He was a life-time Mason, he enjoyed working in his shop and loved to dance. Herbert was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs. Survivors include: wife, Erma Lea Haston of Rush Springs, OK; son, Dr. Harold Haston & wife Terry of Phoenix, AZ; step-son, Kevin Pennypacker of Chickasha, OK; two step-daughters, Kathy Kennell & husband David, MO; Donita Riley of Chickasha, OK; two sisters, Rea Webb of Gainesville, TX; Ruby Abel of Fayetteville, AR; five great grandchildren; nephew, Dr. John Webb, Gainesville, TX; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-son Colonel Pennypacker. Pallbearers: Roland Nee, Howard Beaver, Dr. John Webb, Melvin Jackson, Jerry Stewart, Mike Levings.
