HEAD Funeral services for Sherman R. Head, 43, of Ninnekah, were held on Saturday, March 3, 2001, at 1:00 p.m. in the Grand Assembly of God Church with Rev. Larry Hatfield officiating. Sherman R. Head was born September 15, 1957, in Hickman, Kentucky, the son of Wallace Sherman Head and Bonnie Elizabeth Babcock Head. He died March 1, 2001, in Chickasha. Sherman moved to Odessa, Texas, from Hickman, Kentucky, as a child. He grew up in Odessa, where he also attended the public schools. On February 8, 1975, Sherman married Debra J. Grigg in Odessa, Texas. Sherman came to Chickasha during the oilfield boom in 1975, where he was employed with several different companies. He was presently self-employed as an Auto Technician. Survivors include his wife, Debra, of the home; two daughters, Bonnie and Kimberly Head, both of the home; mother, Bonnie Smith of Odessa, TX; father, Wallace Head of Chaffee, MO; two sisters, Ann Norman and Alice Head both of Odessa, TX; one brother, Norman Head of Odessa, TX; and father and mother-in-law, Ottis and Betty Grigg of Ninnekah. Casket bearers were John Grigg, Jason Grigg, John Reed, Daniel Grigg, Joey Bonds and Daniel Grigg, Jr. Interment was in the Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
