K. Thornton, living north of town died early Saturday morning and was buried at the Verden cemetery Saturday evening amid a host of sorrowing relatives and friends. We were unable to learn the cause of the little one's death. The infant of T. L. Hood and wife living seven or eight miles north of town, died Tuesday morning and was buried at the Verden cemetery Thursday afternoon. The little one became suddenly ill and was brought to town for medical attention but died in a few minutes after reaching town.
