HIATT SERVICES TO BE HELD TODAY Funeral services for Ollie Hiatt will be conducted at 2:30 today, February 22, at the Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Mitchell, pastor, officiating. A quartet will sing "Sweet Bye and Bye," "What A Friend," and "Rock of Ages." Mrs. F. G. Ransbarger will play the piano accompaniment. Casket bearers will be Roy Hamrick, R. L. Berger, Martin Henry, Sid McVey, J. B. Storm and B. F. Loveless. Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge. Oliver E. Hiatt was born March 31, 1871, at Sydney, Iowa, and died at 2:00 a.m., February 19, 1946, at the Chickasha Hospital at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 18 days. Mr. Hiatt came to Verden from Nebraska in 1906. He and his brother; A. A. Hiatt, at one time owned and operated the Verden News. He also was in various other businesses. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
