HOWELL Funeral services for Ruby F. Howell, 89, of Chickasha, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, and died on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star no date RUBY F. HOWELL Funeral service for Ruby F. Howell, age 89, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, was held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2002, in the Maranatha Baptist Church. Rev. Chuck Bishop officiated. Ruby Howell was born, the daughter of Millard Dorman and Emma Blair Dorman, on March 4, 1913, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. She died on December 11, 2002, in Chickasha. Ruby lived on the family farm south of Rush Springs until she married Kenneth Valton Howell in December of 1934. Her husband went overseas to serve in World War II, and she remained in Rush Springs. After the war, her husband returned home. Ruby and her husband lived in many places in the following years while he preached and she took care of their family. Kenneth preceded her in death in 1990. In 1998, she moved to Chickasha to be near her family. She was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church. Ruby was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Survivors include: son and wife, Jimmy and Ina Howell of Chickasha; son and wife, Larry and Sharon Howell of Palatine, Illinois; grandson and wife, Kenny and Marla Howell of Chickasha; grandson and wife, Danny and Susie Howell of Chickasha; granddaughter, Elaine Howell of Loveland, Colorado; granddaughter, Kim Howell of Woodinville, Washington; grandson and wife, Jimmy Don and Tammy Howell of Chickasha; sister and husband, Joan Dorman and Roland Nee of Rush Springs; sister, Vivian Bernard of Rush Springs; nine great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild. Interment was in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Duncan.
