Holloway, Jr. Graveside services for Jesse C. Holloway, Jr., 82, of Wayne, Oklahoma, formerly of Chickasha, will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 15, 2006, in the Laverty Cemetery, with Esten Leonard officiating. Jesse C. Holloway, Jr. was born October 6, 1923, in Cement, Oklahoma, the son of Jesse. C. Holloway, Sr. and Mabel B. [Goodwin] Holloway. He died July 13, 2006, in Norman. Jesse's family moved to McPherson, Kansas when he was a young boy. He grew up in Kansas, graduating high school in Baldwin City, Kansas. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he proudly served his country. He attended McPerson College where he earned his teaching degree and then attended OSU, where he received his Masters Degree. He taught schools in Saudi Arabia, Panama, and California. Jesse married Patricia Sue [Baker] Holloway in 1948. This union blessed them with three children: Carolyn, Ron and Kip. He later married Barbara Louise [Rogers] Holloway, who preceded him in death on February 20, 2002. He is currently married to Wanda [Prinz] Holloway. Jesse came to Chickasha in the early 1980s. He worked for Delta Faucet Company for 12 years, before retiring in 1994. He enjoyed working in the garden, doing wood carving, and he especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by both parents; and his wife, Louise. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Holloway, of the home; daughter and son- in-law: Carolyn and Jay Stroud; two sons: Ron and Kip Holloway; several stepchildren; brother and sister-in-law: George and Violet Holloway; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; many other relatives and friends. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
