All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Fairlawn Cemetery--Chickasha OK The Chickasha Express-Star Monday, 3 October 2005 ROSA RUTH "NANNY" HOLT Funeral service for Rosa Ruth "Nanny" Holt, 84, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Ninnekah. Rosa Ruth "Nanny" Holt passed away in Chickasha on Saturday, October 1, 2005. She was born March 26, 1921 to Alma and Elmer Phillips in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. Rosa graduated from Ninnekah High School in 1939 and on February 14, 1941 married Reford Holt. They began their lives together and were blessed with four children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ninnekah where she taught every age of Sunday School. She was Ninnekah's cook at Falls Creek for 25 consecutive years. She was also a member of the American Business Women's Association, Pioneer Woman of the Ninnekah Historical Society, Member of Lucile Extension Homemaker Club. Rosa was employed by Pet Milk for 30 years. Rosa was preceded in death by: Her parents, son Roy, brothers Thomas, Joe, Lewis, Leon and Johnny and sister Carole Jean. She is survived by: three sons and their wives: Floyd and Brenda Holt of Gothenburg, Nebrasha; Dan and Leta Holt of Chickasha, Oklahoma; Lynn and Mimi Holt of Richmond, Virginia; 8 grandchildren: Rusty and his wife Kay Holt of Lincoln, Nebraska; Shellie and her husband Randy Rossell of Gothenburg, Nebraska; Tommy and his wife Cheryl of Chickasha; Terry and his wife Marilyn Holt of Chickasha; Danny and his wife Kayleen Holt of Erin, Tennessee; Todd Holt of San Francisco, California; Carisa and Elizabeth Holt of Tuttle, Oklahoma; 1 sister: Mary Beth Bennett of Ninnekah, Oklahoma; 12 great grandchildreInterment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
