The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Sarah Elizabeth Kimble Holden Funeral service for Sarah Elizabeth Kimble Holden, age 99, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 30th, 2002, at the Epworth United Methodist Church. Sarah Elizabeth Holden was born on January 30, 1903, in Hillsborough, Illinois, the third child of Charles Albert Kimble and Amelia Dorthea Nasier Kimble. She died on Thanksgiving, November 28th, 2002, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, at the age of 99 years, nine months and 29 days. Born in Illinois, she moved to Blue Jacket, Oklahoma, with her family of four sisters and three brothers, as a very young girl. There, she graduated from high school, and met her husband, Fred Holden. They were married on January 3rd, 1922. Sarah and Fred had three children, Shirley, Larry, and Tyndall, who died at age 14 months of diphtheria. She lived through World War I, the Great Depression, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and a tornado that blew the whole farm away. Sarah and Fred moved to Chickasha in 1960, where they spent the rest of their lives with their children and grandchildren. She was a devoted member of the Epworth United Methodist Church and the McElhoes Sunday School class. Sarah Elizabeth Holden is preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, Fred Holden, on March 17, 1980; her son, Tyndall, in 1927; four sisters and three brothers, and her son-in-law, Clay Wilson Jr., in 1996. She is survived by two children, her son and daughter-in-law, Larry L. and Sharon Holden, of Guthrie; by her daughter, Shirley E. Wilson, of Chickasha; by five grandchildren and their spouses: Lisa and Rick Hart, and Nina Wilson, of Chickasha, Larry L. Jr. and Joyce Holden, of Guthrie, Greg and Kris Holden, of Waco, Texas, and Skoshi and Mike Heron, of Edmond; and by 11 great grandchildren: Amelia and Daniel Hart, Lauren and Maggie Wilson, Logan, Justin and Chase Holden, Heather and Gabrielle Holden, and Karsen and Emerson Heron.
