Rosa Dawn Hilliary was born Dec. 28, 1934, in Altus, Okla., and died on Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, in Chickasha. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 29 January 2003 ROSA DAWN HILLIARY Funeral services for Rosa Dawn Hilliary, 68, of Chickasha, will be held Thursday, January 30, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Rosa Dawn Hilliary was born December 28, 1934, in Altus, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles G. Crider and Melba Rosenboom Crider. She died Monday, January 27, 2003, at her home in Chickasha, surrounded by her loving family and dear friends. Dawn moved to Fletcher, Oklahoma, with her family as a child, and later they moved to Lawton in 1945. She attended Lawton Public Schools and graduated high school in 1952. After graduation she attended Cameron College in Lawton. She married Leonard Hilliary in Lawton, Oklahoma, on December 21, 1952. After her marriage she and her husband, Leonard, who was in the U.S. Armed Services, lived in many different locations including Spokane, Washington, Springfield, Massachusetts, and Altus, Oklahoma. They came to Chickasha in 1961 from Altus and became business partners with her parents in the OK Barber and Beauty Supply. She and Leonard later purchased the rest of the business in 1974, where she remained active in the business until her retirement in 1996. She was preceded in death by her father. One son, Charles Lawrence Hilliary, also preceded her in death in September 2001. Survivors include her husband: Leonard, of the home; her mother: Melba Crider of Chickasha; one daughter: Connie Lynn Morse of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one brother and sister-in-law: Jack T. and Linda Fay Crider of Chickasha; two granddaughters and grandsons-in- law: Leslie and Donnie Woods of Tuttle, Dava and David Garrett of Ninnekah; two grandsons: Michael and James Hilliary of Norman; three great grandchildren and an unbelievable number of friends who felt like family. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in Dawn's name to the Grady Memorial Hospital Foundation, "Cancer Care." 2220 Iowa, Chickasha, Oklahoma, 73018 or the Boys Ranch Town, 5100 S. E. 33rd Street, Edmond, Oklahoma, 73013.
