Rev. David Mercer, of Minco United Methodist Church, officiated. Louise Humphrey was born June 20, 1918, in Cogar, Okla., and died on Friday, May 29, 2004, in Sand Springs, Okla. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Minco, under the direction of Huber- Reynolds Funeral Home, Minco. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 3 June 2004 LOUISE PHELPS HUMPHREY Louise Phelps Humphrey was born on June 20, 1918, at Cogar, OK, the youngest of 12 children of Nettie and J. Knight Phelps. She died May 28, 2004, in Sand Springs, OK. Louise was the beloved wife of Odie Ray Humphrey, who preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 1997. She is survived by 4 children, their spouses, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren - daughter, JoNan Allen and husband, David, and family, Tony and Stacey Melchionne, Matthew and Aaron, Patricia and Bryan Horton and Stone, Jeremy and Kia Allen; daughter, Mary Ann Hatcher and husband, Gary, and family, Kacy and Samir AitAhmed and Sarah Louise, Jason Hatcher, Julie and Christopher Jones and Justin; son, John Humphrey and wife, Linda, and family, Levi and Jacob, Matthew, and Bryon; son, Kent Humphrey and wife, Mary, and family, Diana, Keri Renee and Heather. Also survived by a brother, Robert Phelps; a sister, Leona Fowler, and many relatives and friends. Louise was a graduate of Central State University in Edmond and taught school for many years as a rural one-room country school teacher, and she later taught at Binger and Minco Schools. Her passions in life were her husband, family, church family, traveling, crocheting and crossword puzzles. Services were held May 30 at the Minco United Methodist Church with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco.
