B. Hinkle at the Baptist church Thursday afternoon with Rev. C. W. Taylor and Rev. Farrington, officiating. Mr. Hinkle died at his home south of town Tuesday after a prolonged illness. William Bascom Hinkle was born in Lee County, Virginia, February 3, 1889, was 51 years, 3 months and 4 days old at his passing. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Clara Hinkle, daughter Betty June, father W. A. Hinkle, Pennington Gap, Va. Three brothers, Hiram of Verden, Pete R., Pennington Gap, Va. and J. M. of Inspiration, Arizona. Five sisters, Mrs. Alpha Phipps, Greenville, Texas, Mrs. Nora Lawson, Duffield, Va., Mrs. Hazel Hughes, Pennington Gap, Va., Mrs. Mattie Morrison and Mrs. Rose Henderson of High Point, N. C.
