HINKLE VERDEN - Services for Eckel E. Hinkle, 74, of Verden will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Verden with the Rev. Burl Mackey officiating. Burial will be in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of the Hansen-Binyon Funeral Chapel of Verden. Hinkle was born Sept. 8, 1911 in Verden and died Wednesday at the Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha. He was a lifetime resident of Verden and began farming there before he bought the Hinkle DX Service in Chickasha. He married Marie Lamar Jan. 8, 1930 in Verden and was a member of the First Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, Kenneth Hinkle of Muskogee and Robert Hinkle of Mustang; one daughter, Mary Gardener of Chickasha; one brother, Elmer Hinkle of Chickasha; two sisters, Marie Horn and Zolene Bitsche, both of Chickasha; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. ============= The Chickasha Daily Express 5 January 1986 ECKEL E. HINKLE Services for Eckel E. Hinkle, age 74, of Verden were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 1986 at the Verden First Baptist Church with Rev. Burl Mackey, pastor, officiating. He was born on September 8, 1911 at Verden, Oklahoma and he died December 31, 1985 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha. He married Marie Lamar on January 8, 1930 at Verden. Mr. Hinkle was a life time resident of Verden where he attended the Verden Public Schools. He began farming and later owned and operated the Hinkle DX Service Station in Chickasha. Mr. Hinkle was a member of the First Baptist Church where he was a Deacon. Mr. Hinkle was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Marie of the home; two sons, Kenneth Hinkle of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Robert H. Hinkle of Mustang, Okla.; one daughter, Mary Gardner of Chickasha; one brother, Elmer Hinkle of Chickasha; two sisters, Marie Horn and Zolene Bitsche, both of Chickasha; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Verden First Baptist Church Building Fund.
