G. HINKLE Funeral services for H. G. Hinkle will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today (Friday) at the local Baptist Church. Mrs. Donald Brown will sing "Precious Memories" and a quartet will sing "Sweet Bye and Bye" and another selection. Mrs. I. H. Bilbrey will accompany them. Casket bearers are Alvy Norman, Elmer Parr, Parker Woodall, Debs Patterson, O. E. Talkington and George McVey. Interment will be in Verden Cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge. The Masonic lodge will condust graveside rites. Hiram G. Hinkle was born July 7, 1885 in Virginia and died at his farm home north of Verden October 26, 1948 at the age of 63 years, three months and 19 days. He was married to Miss Nessie Hall in 1907 in Virginia where they lived until 1912 when they moved to the Verden community. He was a member of the Baptist church and the Masonic Lodge. Two daughters and one son preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nessie Hinkle, Verden, three daughters, Mrs. Clara Taylor, Mrs. Marie Horn and Mrs. Zoline Bitsche, all of Chickasha; three sons, Harold, Toledo, Oregon, Elmer, Chickasha, and Eckel, Verden; eleven grandchildren, his father, W. A. Hinkle, Virginia; five sisters, Mrs. Alpha Phelps, Electra, Texas; Mrs. Nora Lawson and Mrs. Hazel Hughes, Virginia; Mrs. Mattie Morris and Mrs. Rose, North Carolina; and two brothers Pete Hinkle, Virginia and Jake Hinkle, Arizona. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
