All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rose Hill Cemetery--Chickasha OK The Chickasha Express-Star 17 February 2003 ELLEN DEE HUNTLEY Graveside services for Ellen Dee (LaBoon) Huntley will be held Wednesday, February 19, at 2:00 at Rose Hill Cemetery. She died peacefully February 16, 2003, at the age of 93. Ellen Dee was born September 21, 1909, in McKinney, Texas, the daughter of Wade and May Ellen (Folsom) LaBoon, moving to Chickasha as an infant. She married Urban Eugene Huntley on December 22, 1934, in Guthrie. Two children were born to this union: Elizabeth Ann and William Eugene. Ellen Dee began her married life in Rush Springs, moving back to Chickasha in 1941. She was a seamstress and a homemaker. Her joys in life were her gardening, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She was a member of the Town and Country, Club, Altrusa, Epworth United Methodist Church, and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Ellen Dee was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Huntley, three brothers: Wade LaBoon, Fred LaBoon, and Van LaBoon; and a sister, Marion Pope. She is survived by daughter: Beth Ann Schenk and husband Don of Chickasha; son: Bill Huntley of Pagosa Springs, CO; brother: Frank LaBoon and wife Bonnie of Austin, TX; sisters: Rosamond Miller and husband Jim of Norman and MaeJean McKelvey of Hurst, TX; grandchildren: Alan and Kendra Schenk and Jeff and Susan Schenk of Chickasha, Chris and Dona Parrish of Pocasset, Brent Huntley of Pagosa Springs, CO, and Chris Huntley of Albuquerque, NM; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
