HENDERSON Funeral service for Elmo C. Henderson, 88, of Tuttle, Oklahoma will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2005 at the Tuttle United Methodist Church. Elmo C. Henderson was born October 12, 1917 in Tabler, Oklahoma and died November 25, 2005 in Oklahoma City. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. ========= Tuttle Times 8 December 2005 Elmo C. Henderson Funeral services for Elmo C. Henderson were held Monday, November 28, 2005 at the Tuttle United Methodist Church. Officiating were Reverend Martin Barnes and Reverend Bill Long. Eulogy was given by Richard Ehlers. Music was provided by Deanna Hardesty-Daniel and Tyrone Smith. Songs were "Beaulah Land" and "Iíll Fly Away", with congregational singing of "Amazing Grace." Pallbearers were Don Pitts, Mike Medrano, H.C. Kettler, Sean Troub, Ron Williams and Bob Hopper. Honorary Pallbearers were Dean Stone, Roy Campbell, Bob Hanigar, Charles Guthery, Lonnie Paxton, Wayne Redman, Harvey Ross, Lavoy Green, Dr. Wayne Huey, J.B. Brown, and Jackie Collins. Elmo Carl Henderson was born Oct. 12, 1917 at Tabler, Ok. He was a lifelong resident of Grady County. He graduated from Bridge Creek High School in 1936 and lived most of his life in the Tuttle area. He was united in marriage with Anna Lee Bowman in 1938. To this union were born three children - Merilyn, Terry, and Judy. Elmo worked 32 years at Tinker Air Force Base in engineering, retiring in Dec. 1982. Elmo was a member of the Tuttle United Methodist Church where he was active as long as his health permitted. Elmo was preceded in death by his daughter Merilyn Pierce, his parents Tom and Melva Henderson, brother Norwood Henderson, sisters Norma Lamb, and Imogene Elder. Survivors include his wife Anna Lee Henderson, son Terry Henderson and wife Pat; daughter Judy Henderson McGee. Grandchildren - Monte Pierce, Wendy Marble and husband Jim, Perry Pierce and wife Pat, Tom Pierce and wife Sun Young, Rich McGee and wife Stephanie, Nancy McGee, Taylor Henderson and wife Aimee, Larry Frey and wife Lisa, Robin Frey, Jackie Briggs and husband Jim. Great grandchildren - Ryan and Emily Pierce, Jake and Hannah Pierce, Bridget Pierce, Rae Anna Ross, Caden Henderson, Joe, Jill, and Jordan Briggs, Jade, Andrew, and Brandy Frey. One sister Lorene Brookshire, two sisters-in-law, Molena Henderson, Mary Geraldine (Jelly) Hollis, one brother-in-law Bud Bowman, and many loving nieces and nephews. Interment: Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, Ok.
