Hamilton, 87, Minco, was held at 3 p.m. today, Monday, September 18, 1989, in Minco's First Baptist Church. Rev. Sam Scott officiated. He was born June 9, 1902, in Holden, Mo., the son of James S. Hamilton and Fannie Jane Franklin. He died Saturday, Sept. 16, 1989, in Grady Memorial Hospital, Chickasha. He was a retired federal employee, having worked at Tinker Air Force Base. Mr. Hamilton was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church. He had lived in the community most of his life. He married Harriet Davis on Aug. 6, 1924, in Chickasha. They moved to Minco from Oklahoma City and farmed until 1946. They had a cafe in downtown Minco for two years. He worked for Alvin Wood at Wood's Groceries. He then operated the Coffee Cup Cafe for two years in Minco. He was then employed at Tinker Field where he retired in 1969. Survivors include his wife, Harriet (Hattie) Hamilton of the home; two daughters, Willadean Woodworth of Minco, Shirley Pullin of Edmond; seven grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, Gerald Calvin, one daughter, Twila Froneberger, one grand-daughter, three brothers and two sisters. Burial was in Minco's Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
