Hammonds Funeral service for Eva F. Hammonds, 83, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2001, at the Grand Avenue Assembly of God Church. Eva F. Hammonds was born February 4, 1918, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles and Alpha Harris, and died Saturday, December 15, 2001, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She and James Hammonds were married in August 1941, in Lawton. He preceded her in death October 27, 1970. She was a nurse's aid and had worked at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha for 10 years. She and her husband started attending Grand Avenue Assembly of God Church in 1954. The church started in 1953. She was the last living charter member of the church. Besides her husband, James Hammonds, she was also preceded in death by 1 sister, Daphene, and 1 brother, Bobby. Survivors include: 1 daughter: Carolyn Phillips of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 2 sons: Leroy Trotter of Chickasha, Clayton Trotter of Chickasha; 2 brothers: Virgil Harris of Chickasha, Lee Harris of Odessa, Texas; 2 sisters: Elaine Felton of Chickasha, Velma Jones of Chickasha; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
