All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Howery, Iris Francis Iris Francis (King) Dec. 7th, 1930 - Aug. 7th, 2005 Iris, age 74, passed away at her home in OKC, Aug. 7, 2005. She was married to L.D. Howery for 54 years who preceded her in death in 2004. She was born in Chickasha, OK to James and Madie King who also preceded her in death. She graduated from Chickasha High School, married L.D. and moved to OKC in 1950. She was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone (SBC) for several years and later owned and operated Airline Donut Shop with her husband for 23 years until their retirement in 1996. Her son, Michael Houston of Norman, OK; her daughter and son-in-law, Brent and Laura Worcester of OKC; and her two grandchildren Kyle and Brooke Worcester survive her. She's also survived by her nephew and his wife, Charles and Rebecca McLaughlin of Mustang, OK; niece and her husband, Karen and Bob Thompson of OKC; great-nephew Joseph McLaughlin and great-niece Kelly McLaughlin, both of Mustang, OK; her Sisterin-law, Naomi Beene; nieces, Carol Beene, Paula Bailey and her husband Shawn; great-niece, Hannah Bailey, all of OKC. Her beloved sister and brothers, Joy Lorice McLaughlin, Emanuel King, Woodrow King, Jack King, Bruce King and Bedford King, preceded her in death. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ for 44 years. She loved playing card games, cooking and sending people cards for various occasions. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005 at Southwest Church of Christ, 3031 SW 104th OKC.
