The Verden News
June 2, 1933



Mrs. O. D. Harris passed away at the family home south of Verden Monday 
and was buried in the Verden cemetery Tuesday, May 30.

Rev. C. W. Taylor preached the funeral service at the First Baptist 
church at 2 p. m.

Pall bearers for the service were Chas. and Steve Protzman, P. S. Kern, 
K. G. Whitley, Fred Freeman, Charlie Miller.

The choir consisting of a mixed quartet were Ruby Nuernberger, F. G. 
Ransbarger, Mrs. R. M. Caldwell, and W. S. Guthrie and Mrs. Rachel 
Briscoe presiding at the piano.

The funeral procession was large, paying their last tribute to the 
family by the beautiful floral offering and their attendance.
