All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rush Springs Cemetery--Rush Springs OK Lawton Constitution January 28, 2003 Essie Earlene Harrison FLETCHER — Funeral for Essie Earlene Harrison, 92, Fletcher, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fletcher First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy McFarland, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Harrison died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at a Lawton care center. Burial will be at Rush Springs Cemetery under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. She was born Sept. 13, 1910, in Memphis, Texas, and came to the Comanche area as a child. She moved to Rush Springs as a teenager. She married Z.D. Harrison on Dec. 24, 1929, in Rush Springs, and they moved to west Texas. They moved back to the Fletcher area in 1941, where they farmed and ranched. They also owned and operated a grocery store from 1960 to 1972. He died in 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Fletcher, the Eastern Star, and the Share and Care Club. Survivors include a son-in-law, Mateo Giammario, New Hope, Pa; five grandchildren: Mat and Mark Giammario, Melinda Vinet, Ben Malone and Shelley Malone; a great-granddaughter, Victoria Vinet; a sister, Nevada Ogle, Elgin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jesse I.
