HARMON SERVICES HELD SUNDAY Funeral services for Pete Harmon were conducted Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church with Rev. A. C. Nance, Anadarko, officiating and assisted by Rev. W. O. Cooley and Rev. C. W. Taylor, Verden. Interment was in the Verden cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge. Music for the service was furnished by Mrs. I. H. Bilbrey, Mrs. J. N. Kern, L. E. Perkins and F. G. Ransbarger who sang "God Will Take Care of You," "Let The Lower Lights Be burning" and "Beautiful Isle" with Mrs. Ivy Horn playing the Piano accompaniment. R. Lewis Hancock of Anadarko sang, "Will The Circle Be Unbroken," with piano accompaniment by Mrs. Bilbrey. Pallbearers were: Ralph Wolfenberger of Anadarko, C. W. Hamill, Kirby Whitley, J. N. Kern, Martin Henry and Ott Dirikson. Peter P. Harmon was born February 21, 1900 in Parkville, Missouri and died March 24, 1945 in a hospital at Agnew, California at the age of 45 years 1 month and three days. He came to Verden with his parents in 1902 and grew to manhood here. For the past several years he has made his home to California. Surviving members of the family include his wife of Salinas, California; his parents, Rev. and Mrs. P. F. Harmon, Verden; three sisters, Mrs. R. H. Brown, Verden, Mrs. C. R. Ruse, Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Mrs. B. Walker, Elk City; and three brothers, H. D. Harmon, Detroit, Michigan, C. M. Harman, Fresno, California, and Paul Harmon, who is with the armed forces in Italy.
