All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 1 March 2004 RICKY LYNN HARMON Ricky Lynn Harmon was born September 6, 1952, in Blanchard, to Curns and Lillian Harmon. He graduated from Blanchard High School in 1971, where he participated in many extracurricular activities. Ricky attended college for a few years, studying to be an anesthesiologist. As a boy growing up he enjoyed sports, riding horses, and being with his dad, Curns. Later in life Ricky had many jobs and found nothing that he could not do. Rick was always willing to help anybody and would give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed help. Ricky liked riding bulls, fishing, horseback riding, driving a tractor. On May 23, 1999, he married Ronda Sprowls at the home place in Pocasset. Ricky said he fell in love with her during a weak moment and married her because she thought he was pretty. Rick loved his family, his father-in- law, and was a workaholic. For many years Ricky worked as a roughneck in the oil field. He tripped a million miles of pipe with his buddy Floyd while drilling wells. Ricky passed away February 26, 2004, at the age of 51. Survivors include his wife, Ronda, of Pocasset; his children, Ricky Gillis Harmon and his wife, Pam, of Lexington, Amy Harmon of Lexington, Tara Springfied of Pauls Valley; Steven Nixon and his wife, Amanda, of Blanchard; granddaughter, Ryli Harmon of Lexington; numrous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dona Pierce. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at the First Baptist Church in Cole. Rev.
