Marguerite Smith Ivie was born Nov. 29, 1915, and died on Friday, Sept. 3, 2004. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 6 September 2004 MARGUERITE SMITH IVIE Funeral service for Marguerite Smith Ivie, age 88 of Yukon, Oklahoma, formerly of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 in the Epworth United Methodist Church. Marguerite Smith Ivie was born the daughter of Charles D. Orahood and Maud Smith Orahood on November 29, 1915. She died on September 3, 2004, in Yukon. She married Charles F. Smith on February 15, 1936 in Chickasha. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1975. She later married Charles Gilbert Ivie on January 3, 1984, in Chickasha. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2002. Marguerite was a long time Chickasha resident and a graduate of Chickasha High School. She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church and the Wedding Ring Class. Marguerite was also a member of the Rebecca’s and the Friend Home Demonstration Club. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles Orahood, one daughter, Kathy Wilson Rogers, one granddaughter, Vicki Lynn Herald and one great granddaughter, Cami Elaine Smith. Survivors include; Daughter & Son-in-law Sheila & Jim Herald of Conroe, Texas, Daughter; Son-in-law; Dixie & Forrest Belcher of Sapulpa, Son & Daughter-in-law: Richard & Sherry Smith of Yukon, Sister: Ann Platel of Chula Vista, California; Brother Jim Orahood of Oklahoma City; Sister: Betty Smith of Norman; Eleven Grandchildren; and Thirteen Great Grandchildren. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
