All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 3 March 2004 MONETHA JEAN JUSTICE Funeral services for Monetha Jean Justice, 60, of rural Apache, will be held Thursday, March 4, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church, Cyril, with Rev. John West, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Justice died Monday, March 1, 2004, at her home. Burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. She was born November 10, 1943, in Chickasha, OK, to L. J. Burns and Flora Mae (Wright) Burns. She was raised in the Cement area and attended Fairview School east of Cement, later Pioneer High School near Chickasha, and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1961. She received an associate's degree of arts and science from Cameron University in 1964. She married Bruce Justice, July 19, 1973, in Wichita Falls, TX, and made their home in the Edgewater addition of Lake Ellsworth where they had lived since. She had worked at Mt. Scott Foods and Farm Fresh Dairy of Lawton before becoming a fulltime homemaker with her children and grandchildren. Jean was a community volunteer and was a member of the Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department; she was also an avid gardener, winning awards at local and county fairs. Survivors include her husband, Bruce, of the home; her mother-in-law, Bonnie Justice of Lawton; a stepson, William Justice, Jr., of Muskogee; three stepdaughters, Kathy Johnson and her husband, Robert of Lakeview Village of the Elgin area, Bonnie Sue Harmon and Debra Jean Justice, both of California; two sisters, Geraldine Baker and Anna Mae Fulton, both of Cement; two brothers, David Burns and his wife, Vicki, of Cyril, and Charlie Burns and his wife, Tanya, of Devol; grandchldren, Alana Justice, Jamie Burchfield, Chrissy Justice, Justin Justice, Bobby Justice, Eric Justice, Tabitha Johnson; a great grandson, Kolton Burchfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Jeffrey Heritage; great nephew, Colton Burns; and a son-in-law, Bill Harmon.
