Nellie was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Milton Julius Jackson; sisters, Edrie Belle Myers, Jessie Phaby, Frankie Reid, and Grace Schmitz; and brothers, Wilmer A., Aubrey W., and Ira J. Shackelford. Nellie is survived by her two children, Fred Milton Jackson, of DeSota, Texas, and Carole Jeannette Newsom, of Austin, Texas; son-in-law, Conrad "Fritz" Newsom; sister, Pearl Mills, of Springdale, Arkansas; grandchildren, Fred Jackson, Jr., of Maryville, California, Victoria Miller, of Austin, Lincoln Miller and wife Tina of Cary, NC, Jefferson Miller and wife Michelle, of Richardson, and David Miller and wife Lisa, of Austin. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Christine Sloan and husband Cody and Nicholas Jackson, Danielle and Cameron Miller, Skyler and Jackson Miller, and Rachel Miller; numerous nieces and nephews; and two great great-grandchildren, Ashley and Emily Grace Sloan. Nellie, better known as Grandma or GiGi, was a gentle, loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her. Nellie and husband Milton lived most of their married life in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where they operated The Snow White Laundry for over 20 years. Nellie loved spending time with family, especially her beloved Yorkie, Jasmine. She enjoyed her evening cocktail, southern home cooking, social events, and her annual trip to Las Vegas. At 93, she lived life to the fullest. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 27, 2002, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home, Reverend Rhoda Montgomery officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 28, 2002, on Friday, June 28, 2002, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where Grandma will be laid to rest next to her husband.
