JONES SERVICES HELD HERE SUNDAY Funeral services for Aaron Richard Jones were held at the Verden Baptist Church Sunday April 10 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Harold Watson, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Tom Graham. Interment was in the Verden Cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jones suffered a heart attack early Wednesday and died at 3:15 a.m. April 6 at the home. He and Mrs. Jones came January 12 from San Diego, Calif. to help care for his sister, Mrs. Charlie Harris. Mr. Jones was born October 8, 1888 in Indiana and passed away at the age of 66 years, five months and 28 days. Music for the services was rendered by Mrs. Max Upchurch, Mrs. Donald Brown, Ed Adkisson and Ed Nelson. They sang "Beyond the Sunset," "Take My Hand, Precious Lord" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Mrs. Ed Nelson was pianist. Casket bearers were Lee Fowler, Donald Brown, C. B. Dabney, J. J. Totten, Oren Heavin and Houston Beene. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anna Lee Jones, Verden; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Lowes of San Antonio, Texas; his mother, Mrs. Lizzie E. Jones of Terra Haute, Indiana; two brothers, Roscoe Jones of San Antonio and John Jones of Terra Haute, Indiana and three sisters, Mrs. Lena Morris of Walla Walla, Washington; Mrs. Sparks of Detroit, Michigan and Flora of Terra Haute, Ind.
