Theron Everett Jones, Sr., was born June 11, 1919, in Konawa, Oklahoma, the son of Owen Bivian and Elva Loraine Jones, and died March 12, 2003, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Mr. Jones left Konawa as an early age and moved to San Antonio, Texas. He moved in 1941 to Garr Corner and taught in Vanoss. Mr. Jones moved to Tuttle in 1948. He was a Vo-Ag instructor for 22 years and was also a dairyman. He and Neoma Baker were married December 23, 1940, in Konawa. Mr. Jones was a member of the Church of Christ, Lions Club, DFA member, Retired Teacher's Association and was Sooner State Dairy Show president for the past 43 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: wife: Neoma Jones of the home; 1 daughter: Sharon Greene of Ft. Cobb Lake; 2 sons: Theron E. Jones, Jr., of Yale, Oklahoma, David Jones of Yale, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Nadine Novick of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Maxine Thomas of Oklahoma City, Betty Flake of Topeka, Kansas; beloved friend and part of the family: Walter Bloom of Tuttle, Oklahoma; host of nieces and nephews.
