Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cornerstone Assembly of God with her grandson, the Rev. Stephen Johns, officiating and the Rev. Clyde Headley assisting. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Beulah Gloe was born Jan. 11, 1915, in Rush Springs, to George Washington and Adine Lowery Alexander. She was the only girl of nine children. She married Carl E. Johns on Sept. 30, 1933, in Duncan. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1986. Mrs. Johns was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Duncan and was always active. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Claud L. and Mary Jo Johns of Connersville, Ind., Carl E. and Verna Johns Jr. of Duncan, and Gregory W. and Linda Johns of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter and son-in- law, Marcia K. and Glen Hawkins of Duncan; a brother, Luther Alexander of Duncan; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, and a great-grandson.
