Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 30 June 2001 Mickey Ray Johnson Funeral service for Mickey Ray Johnson, 64, of Duncan, OK, will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 28, 2001, in the Immanuel Baptist Church, with Dr. Jack Robbins officiating and Rev. Randy Southerland assisting. Mickey was born March 10, 1937, in Comanche, Oklahoma, to Winston "Dent" and Ruth (Brown) Johnson, and died Monday, June 25, 2001, in Duncan. He married Mary Johnson who preceded him in death on January 26, 1985. On December 10, 1985 he married Barbara Fawbush. Mr. Johnson was a rancher and farmer; he owned Mitchell & Johnson Oil Co. and Johnson Shamrock. Mickey attended and played football at the University of Oklahoma under Bud Wilkinson on the 1955 and 1956 National Champion Football teams; he was a member of the "O" Club, was past president and board member of the Beefmasters Breeders Universal; served on the Comanche School Board; and recently coached a Duncan 5th and 6th grades football team called "The Renegades." Mickey was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. He is survived by wife: Barbara, of the home; son: Jay Kyle and "Jonelle" Johnson, of Duncan; daughter: Jayna and "John" Lawrence, of Duncan; step-son: Ty Lynn Fawbush, of Duncan; brother: Jim and "Ruth Ann" Johnson, of Chickasha; 3 grandchildren: Houston Johnson, Erin Johnson and Joshua Lawrence. Pallbearers will be Shorty Brown, Roland Goldsmith, Harvey Garrett, Don Biles, Austin Johnson, Wayne Brown, Russell Stone, Joe Brown and Joe Talley. Interment will be in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
