JOHNSON Funeral for Samuel J. Johnson, 80, 927 South 20th, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Rev. K. E. Rains, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, will officiate. Mr. Johnson was born Nov. 22, 1897, at Linwood, Kan. He died Monday in a local nursing home. He had been in failing health for ten years. He had lived in Pocasset, moving to Chickasha in 1927. He and Della Aline Goleman were married on Dec. 8, 1924, in Chickasha. She preceded him in death on March 19, 1976. A son, Floyd Jay Johnson, also preceded him in death on Jan 13, 1932. Mr. Johnson worked at Tinker Field during WW II. He worked for the city of Chickasha for several years, retiring in 1962. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bob Davis of Overland Park, Kan.; two sons, Joe Morris Johnson of Ninnekah and Lloyd D. Johnson of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren' two brothers, Earl Johnson of Chickasha and Donald Johnson of Clinton; and one sister, Mrs. Maude McAllegh of California. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery ===== SAMUEL J. JOHNSON Funeral for Samuel J. Johnson, 80, Chickasha, was held at 10:30 a.m. today in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Rev. K. E. Rains, pastor of the Grace Baptist Church, officiated. Singers were the Rev. and Mrs. Rains, Mrs. Maurice Glass and Mrs. Dorothy Andrews. Mrs. Kenneth Bush was organist. Pallbearers were, Jerry McConnell, Tommy Dowdy, Ray Basham, William Burt, Charles Flanagan and Warren Redgers.
