JOHNSON Funeral service for James M. Johnson, 61, of Duncan, will be at 11 a.m., Friday, August 16, 2002, in Shepherd Street Christian Church, Chickasha, with Rev. Richard Colbert officiating. Burial will be in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery under the direction of Jefferson Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Johnson died August 8, 2002, in Lawton Hospital following a lengthy illness. Full military honors will be conducted at gravesite. He was born on March 14, 1944, in Chickasha, to Jessie L. Mosley and Richard Johnson. He came to Duncan in 1993 from Chickasha. He married Lucretia Cooper on October 16, 1995, in Oklahoma City. James was employed by Oklahoma State Employment Service for 19 years in both Chickasha and Duncan. James was a Protestant. He enlisted in the U. S. Army on July 22, 1959. James was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include; wife: Lucretia Johnson of Duncan his children: Nicole Cooper of Duncan, Regina Cooper of Crockett, TX, Candice Cooper of Edmond, Christopher Cooper of Lawton, Neica Debble and Rani Bowens, all of Duncan; sisters: Dorothy McKensie of Moore, Wilma Jean Sanders of Roswell; one brother: Walter Daniels of Chickasha; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Willie Daniels. Friends may call at Fletcher-Jefferson Chapel, Chickasha, on Thursday, 12-8 p.m.
