Jantz was born April 30, 1920 and died July 2, 2005. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star Monday, 4 July 2005 LINCOLN JANTZ Funeral Services for Lincoln Jantz, 85, of Chickasha will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Wray officiating. Lincoln was born April 30, 1920 in Verden, Oklahoma the son of Benjamin and Amelia Schmidt. He died Saturday, July 2, 2005 in Chickasha. Lincoln grew up in Verden where he attended school and worked on the family farm. In November of 1945 he enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a bomb disposal technician. He married Lois Haile in Wichita Falls, Texas on October 13, 1951. After their marriage they moved to Chickasha where Lincoln was self employed as a welder and a truck driver. He retired in 1982 due to health reasons. In his spare time Lincoln loved to go fishing and tinker with cars and lawn mowers. Lincoln was preceded in death by both parents, brother Harry Jantz, sisters, Mildred Koehn and Leona Jantz. Survivors include his wife, Lois of the home, son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Carolyn Jantz of Chickasha, daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Allen Martin of Chickasha, Sue and Larry McCoy of Chickasha, Sandra and Davd Rich of Chickasha, and Linda and Jerry Koehn of Canton, Kansas, brother and sister-in-law Ervin and Verna June Jantz of Gashen, Indiana, sister Iva Becker of Halstead, Kansas, Annie Ratzloff of Canton, Kansas, Malinda Schmidt of Montezauma, Kansas, Pauline Decker of Sedgewick, Kansas, Ruby Koehn of Galva, Kansas, Elizabeth and Bill Crawford of Norman, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Jantz of Verden, many cousins, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
