Keith Funeral service for Albert E. Keith, 77, of Alex, Okla., will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2001, at the First Baptist Church of Alex. Albert E. Keith was born July 31, 1923, and died on Monday, June 25, 2001. Services are under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. ====================== The Chickasha Express-Star 28 June 2001 Albert E. Keith Funeral service for Albert E. Keith, 77, of Alex, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2001, at the First Baptist Church of Alex, Oklahoma. Albert E. Keith was born July 31, 1923, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, the son of Lawrence M. and Ada Lela (Raper) Keith, and died Monday, June 25, 2001, at his home in Alex. Albert moved from Wynnewood to Alex where he worked until he entered the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he served on the LST 242. After World War II, he returned to Alex, where he lived, raised his family and was self-employed. He also worked for various companies including Gabriel. He retired from Gabriel 12 years ago. Albert was a very good husband, dad and provider for his family. He and Vivian Runnels were married January 10, 1942, in Alex, Oklahoma. Albert was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alex. Survivors include: wife: Vivian Keith, of the home; 2 daughters: Gayla Collier, of Alex, Oklahoma, and Glenda Ward of Alex, Oklahoma; 1 sister: Norma Jean Lowery, of Wilmington, California; 3 grandchildren: Janna Pelley, Richard Ward, Keith Collier; 2 great grandchildren: Kyle Pelley and Tyler Pelley. Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
