Kell Graveside service for Charles M. Kell, age 82, of Chickasha, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2001, at Rose Hill Cemetery. Charles was born the son of Elmer Kell and Margaret Evans Kell on August 27, 1918, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He died on May 11, 2001, in Chickasha. Charles grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School. After graduation, Charles enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, and served in India during WWII. He later married Bernice Underwood in September 1946, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Charles worked as a machinist for Chickasha Iron Works, and later retired from there. Charles was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. He was preceded in death his parents, sister, Marie Lay, and daughter, Sherrell Ann Kell. Survivors include his wife, Bernice, of the home; sister, Ruth Watts, of Manhattan, Kansas; sister, Mary Lee Price, of Santa Ana, California; brother-in-law, Leroy Underwood, of Oklahoma City, OK; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no viewing for Mr. Kell. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
