Kinsey of Pocasset were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Verden. Rev. C. W Taylor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Garland Anderson. A quartet composed of Miss Florence Lamb, Mrs. R. E. Flood, Mrs. C. W. Hamill and Mrs. Floyd Adkisson, sang these selections, "Abid With Me," "Jesus Savior Pilot Me," and "Sweet Hour of Prayer." Mrs. Donald Brown played the accompaniment. Casket bearers were: R. H. Brown, Lee Fowler, Frank Riede, Paul M. DeBoard, Floyd Seals and J. M. Thrasher. Internment was in the Verden Cemetery. Thomas Albert Kinsey was born August 5, 1882 in Grayson county Texas and died at 9:15 p.m. Friday, October 28 in an Oklahoma City hospital at the age of 67 years, two months, and 23 days. He had been a resident of Pocasset and Verden for 24 years. He was engaged in farming until he retired two years ago. He lived at Sulphur before coming here. He was a member of the Verden Baptist Church. Survivors including his wife, Mrs. Lucy Kinsey, of Pocasset; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Sullivan; four sons, James Kinsey and Boyd Kinsey of Pocasset, Tom Kinsey of the Dutton community and Marvin Kinsey of Cogar; 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
