Kerr, 66, of Norman, formerly of Newcastle, died Wednesday, July 2. in Norman. Arrangements are being handled by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Choctaw Road Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Larry Ice. Mr. Kerr was born June 21, 1937, in Ninnekah. He was one of nine children born to Guston Milas Kerr and Katie Lou Gilbreath Kerr. Mr. Kerr grew up in the Rush Springs area and later moved to Newcastle, where he attended junior high and high school. After graduating in 1955, he married Treefa Jo Griffiths of Newcastle. They moved to Moore and together raised two children, Nick and Trelynda. Mr. Kerr worked as a police officer for the City of Moore from 1962 to 1967. He then owned and operated Triple-K Sheet Metal manufacturing in Oklahoma City for 20 years. In 1982, he married Frances Lee Keaton and moved to a small farm east of Norman in 1984. After retiring, Kerr enjoyed staying busy, raising farm animals, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a charter member of the Choctaw Road Baptist Church and a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church for the past year. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Pat Kerr and three infant brothers, and one sister, Alice Jane Kerr. Survivors include his wife, Frances Lee Keaton of the home; two sons, Nick R. Kerr and wife, Cheryl, of Del Morte, Colo., and Frank D. Drennan and wife, Stephanie, of Alexandria, Egypt; one daughter, Trelynda R. Kerr of Arlington, Va.; one brother, Milas G. Kerr and wife, Bobbie, of Norman; two sisters, Faye Deaville of Newcastle and Sylvia Null of Chickasha; sister-in-law, Oleta Kerr of Grove; former wife, Treefa Jo Kerr of Moore; six grandchildren, Tory, Trever and Tyler Kerr, Nathan, Dylan and Curran Drennan. Pallbearers will be Tory, Trever and Tyler Kerr, Cliff Marlar, Gene White and Brent Lane. Honorary bearers will be George McDae, Bill Burnett, Jay Lloyd, Bill Kulpepper and Bill Bridges. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
