Robert Whitley, pastor, the Rev. Scott Carper, pastor, First Assembly of God, Goshen, Ind., and the Rev. Dennis Meyer, pastor, Assembly of God, Miller, Mo., officiating. Mrs. Kirklen died Thursday, July 17, 2003, in Rush Springs. Burial will be at Fletcher Cemetery under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. She was born Nov. 6, 1920, in Alex, to William Frank and Edea Lee Guinn. She was raised in the Alex area and moved to Fletcher as a teenager. She married Russell Kirklen on May 20, 1935, in Sterling. He died Feb. 21, 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of Fletcher Assembly of God Church. Due to her health, she lived with her daughter in Tatum for the last 10 years. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Elaine and Clint Miller, Rush Springs; Julene and Marvin Lyon, Tatum; and Diane and Roger Carper, Fletcher; a sister, Eva Frehner, Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
