Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Verden News January 15, 1937 Gladys Bell Lee, who had been confined to her bed for five years, passed away at the home of her mother, Mrs. Lillie B. Lee, Thursday night. Her mother went to awake her for her morning meal and found she had passed away during the night. Rites were held here Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church with Rev. C. W. Taylor officiating. Gladys became a member of the Baptist church at the age of 14 years which she remained a faithful Christian until her master called her from her suffering. Gladys Bell Lee was born at Comanche, Texas, May 7, 1907, being 29 years, 8 months at her departure from this life. She was united in marriage to Clyde Sheehan, August 30, 1924, to this union two children were born, Lillian and Sherald. Sherald departed this life at the age of 10 months. Those left to mourn her departure one daughter, Lillian Sheehan; her mother, Mrs. Lillie B. Lee, and a host of relatives and friends. Interment was made in the Verden cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge of burial arrangements. Submitted by Sandi Carter
