LEE Funeral services for Elmer L. Lee, 79, of Chickasha, Okla., are pending with Ferguson Funeral Home. Elmer L. Lee was born Sept. 17, 1924, and died on Sunday, April 4, 2004, in Chickasha. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 6 April 2004 ELMER L. LEE Graveside services for Elmer L. Lee, 79, of Chickasha, will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. in the Fairlawn Cemtery with Pastor Kim Hayes officiating. Elmer L. Lee was born September 27, 1924, in Kokomo, Indiana, the son of Bert Lee and Zella Cobb Lee. He died Sunday, April 4, 2004, in Chickasha. Elmer grew up and attended school in Kokomo, Indiana. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army, and served during WW II from June 23, 1943 until December 30, 1945. He married Margaret King on November 26, 1947, in Logansport, Indiana. She preceded him in death on December 20, 1975. Elmer attended and graduated from Indiana State University in 1954 with a bachelor's degree in business. He worked as a purchasing agent for Union Carbide in Kokomo, Indiana, until 1965, then for Kwik Lock Corporation in Dallas, Texas. He retired from Marmon Motors Corp. in 1987. Elmer moved to Chickasha in 1979, where he met and married Margie Johnson, on July 2, 1981. They made their home in Texas. He returned to Chickasha where he worked at Southgate in 1988. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Masonic Lodge. Elmer was preceded in death by both parents, one brother, John Lee, and two sisters, Allie Carter and Elva Smith. Survivors include his wife Margie Lee of the home; one son and daughter- in-law, Ron and Kathy Lee of Carrollton, Texas; two daughters, Cody Kuhlman of Mustang, Oklahoma, and Jo Ann Nichols of Olympia, Washington; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
