All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Anadarko Daily News 26 January 1989 SAM LOVELESS VERDEN - Services for Sam Curtis Loveless, 93, of Verden will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday at the Verden First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Whitley of Cyril officiating and the Rev. Frank Mitchell, pastor, assisting. Loveless was born July 22, 1895 at Roby, Texas and died Wednesday at his home. He was a retired farmer who came to Verden in 1913 and served with the U. S. Army in France during World War I. After his discharge in 1919, he lived in Indiana and then in Weslaco, Texas before returning to Verden in 1929 to farm. He had been a member of Masonic Lodge No. 320 since 1920. He was also a member of the Verden First United Methodist Church. He married the former Ethel Henrietta Dahmes, Aug. 17, 1923 at South Bend, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, B. F. Loveless; one sister, Anna Lee Moore, and one daughter, Dixie Ann Loveless, who died in 1974. Survivors include his wife of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Lovie Kaye and Neil Lee of Verden; one sister, Mrs. Abbie Teal of Florida; two granddaughters, Jennifer Bates of Chickasha and Jeannette Thompson of Edmond, and two great grandchildren.
