LEVERETT Funeral services for C. L. Leverett, 61, of Chickasha, Okla., are pending with McRay Funeral Home. C. L. Leverett was born Nov. 22, 1942, and died on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 10 September 2004 C. L. LEVERETT Graveside service for C. L. Leverett, age 61, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2004, at Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Justin Ford will officiate. C. L. Leverett was born the son of Archie Ray Leverett and Mattie Maria Gitthens Leverett, on November 22, 1942, in Oklahoma City. He died on September 9, 2004, in Oklahoma City. C. L. moved to Chickasha at the age of four and graduated from Friend High School in 1960. He married Joyce Burns on September 8, 1961, in Binger, Oklahoma, and they made their home in Chickasha. C. L. worked as a welder in the horse trailer manufacturing industry his entire life. In 1988, he retired due to his health. C. L. was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church. He was also an avid bowler, fisherman, golfer and Nascar fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Ronal Leverett. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Leverett, of the home; daughter and husband, Tracy and Michael Brown, of Oklahoma City; sister, Norma Melvin, of Oklahoma City; brother, Donal Leverett, of Chickasha; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Oklahoma, 3617 N.W. 58th St., Suite 101, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73112.
