All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Ft Gibson Cemetery--Ft Gibson OK © The Chickasha Express-Star 10 Dec 2003 Jean Elaine Bales Lacy Jean Elaine Bales Lacy, 56, of Carney, Oklahoma, passed away December 8, 2003. She was born December 25, 1946, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, to Tildow J. and Lydia May (Lincoln) Myers. Jean attended and graduated from Chickasha High School. She then went on to further her education at the Oklahoma College of Liberal Acts and graduated with a bachelor's degree in art. After a long career as an artist, Jean was voted Native American Artist of the Year in 1986 for the U.S.A. Jean loved the outdoors which included camping and fishing. Her pets were a big focus in her life. Survivors include her mother of the home; 1 brother, Billy Jack Myers and wife Patty of Tahlequah; nephew, Dr. William Jack Myers of Tulsa; niece, Kelly Lynn Myers of San Antonio, TX; two uncles: Charles Lincoln of Perkins, OK, and Will Rogers Lincoln of Perkins. Service will be announced at a later date. Interment will be in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.
