"SON" LASSETER Funeral for R. H. "Son" Lasseter, 80, of Blanchard, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2004, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. R. H. "Son" Lasseter was born November 30, 1923, in Nocona, Texas, and died March 10, 2004, in Chickasha. Mr. Lasseter lived in Chickasha for almost 50 years. He and Becky Rackley were married May 18, 1946. Mr. Lasseter worked for several Oil companies including Parker Drilling Company where he worked in Alaska at the North Slope and Aleutian Islands. He retired fromt he oil field in 1980 and began raising cattle on his ranch. Mr, Lasseter served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was stationed at Pearl Harbor from 1944-1945. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Belle Lasseter; father, Richard Hubard Lasseter; 5 sisters, Irene Chapman, Lovie Tuell, Kitty Bell, Nell Wall and Evelyn Morrow; 2 brothers, Truett Lasseter and Gene Lasseter; and 1 grandson, Joel Austin Lasseter. Survivors include his wife, Becky Lasseter, of the home; 2 sons and their wives, Rick and Connie Lasseter of Chickasha, and Steve and Maria Lasseter of Chickasha; 1 brother, Lindy Lasseter, of Iowa Park, Texas; 1 sister, Bee Mann, of Tyler, Texas; 4 grandchldren, Eric Lasseter, Crystal Morris, Mindy Lasseter and Stephanie Haslam; 7 great grandchildren, Justice Harris, Jaden Harris, Van Morris, Cody Lasseter, Dyllan Lasseter, Lauran Lasseter, and Anna Kate Haslam. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
