Dakota, with Abraham Walton officiating. Ethel Wilson was the only child born May 15, 1917, in Clearview, Oklahoma to Bud and Gracie Wilson. She united in holy matrimony to Arthur Ligons in 1935. To this union five [sic] children were born. Mildred, Ida, Mae, Theodore, Andrew and Florence. After the death of her husband in 1942, Ethel relocated to Chickasha where she united with the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. In 1968 Ethel moved to Chester, PA; she returned to Chickasha to live with her family in 2000. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ligons, both parents, one child (Andrew's twin sister) at birth, and one grandson, Rhodes W. Payton. She is survived by nine children: Mildred Payton of Leesville, La., Ida M. Brown of Chickasha, Theodore (Evelyn) Ligons, of Chester, PA, Florence Hockett, of Tacoma, WA, Oneva Woods of Wichita, KN [sic], Robert C. (Sarah) Colbert, of Oklahoma City, OK, Betty Lambert of Chickasha, OK, and Charles Peeples, of Chickasha, OK. She is survived by 43 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Christian Funeral Home.
