Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 12 May 2002 Juanita "Neet" Lollis Funeral services for Juanita Lollis, 67, of Chickasha, will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. in the Shepherd Street Christian Church with Dr. Nettie Fisher officiating. Juanita Lollis was born July 29, 1934, in Honey Grove, Texas, the daughter of Mack Hunter and Rosie Roberson Hunter. She died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, in Oklahoma City. Juanita came to Chickasha when she was eight years old with her family and attended Lincoln School. She spent much of her life being a homemaker, caring for and rearing her children. She also was employed outside the home, having been employed with Grady Memorial Hospital for ten years and Sentry Manufacturing for two years, and retiring from Pet Milk in 1993, with over twenty years of employment. Juanita was a faithful member of the Shepherd Street Christian Church and involved in the Christian Women's Fellowship. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, especially with the grandchildren, reading the Bible and listening to gospel music. Juanita was preceded in death by her father and maternal grandmother, Harriet Townsel. One son, Michael Lollis, also preceded her in death in May 1965. Survivors include her mother, Rosie Burton, of Chickasha; seven children, Rosalind and Rausham Ashenti' Alexander, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dewayne and Louise Lollis, of Oklahoma City, Randy Lollis, of Oklahoma City, Dana Lynn and Harold Johnson, of Chickasha, Reginald and Linette Lollis, of Chickasha, Gregory Bruce Lollis, of Chickasha, and Byron Lollis of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Mac Horace Hunter, of Dallas, Texas; one aunt, Ardessa Bowens, of Chickasha; 18 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and many cousins, friends and other relatives. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
