Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Verden News June 21, 1935 ALDON LAMB PASSED AWAY LAST FRIDAY Aldon Wesley Lamb, was born January 19, 1900, at Dardanelle, Ark. and died at the Anadarko Hospital, June 14, 1935, at the age of 35 years, five months and five days. He, with his family, moved to Verden, Oklahoma in February, 1911. He was converted and joined the Methodist church at Verden in 1914. He lived at Verden until his marriage to Darline Fleming, March 6, 1923, after which he made his home at Crescent, Oklahoma.  To this union were born two children, a son, Carrol, who died in September, 1926; and a daughter, Louise. In 1933 he returned to Verden where he lived until his death.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Verden and the Modern Woodman of Crescent, Oklahoma. The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Methodist church with the pastor, Rev. Giles delivering the funeral service. He is survived by his little daughter, Louise, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Lamb, four sisters, Mrs. Emery Fitzwater of Borger, Texas, Mrs. Bud Zipse, Erma Lee Lamb, and Bessie Lamb all of Verden and other relatives and friends.
