Dorothy Mae Lamprecht was born July 1, 1918, and died on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, in Chickasha. ========= © The Chickasha Express-Star 07 Sep 2003 Dorothy M. Lamprecht Funeral services for Dorothy M. Lamprecht, 85, of Chickasha, will be held Monday, September 8, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Jerl Joslin and David Woods officiating. Dorothy M. Lamprecht was born June 1, 1918, daughter of Will and Rosia (Tindel) Berry. She died September 3, 2003, in Chickasha, after an extended illness. Dorothy was one of nine children and grew up in the Chickasha area. She married Henry G. “Hank” Lamprecht in Purcell, Oklahoma, on August 9, 1939. They made their home in Chickasha, where Dorothy lived most of her life. Dorothy was an active member of the Parkview Christian Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially making ceramics, raising flowers, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, “Hank,” and her daughter Sharon Lamprecht Flick. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Pam Lamprecht, of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren: Rachel Axton, of Norman, Oklahoma, and John Flick, of Wilmington, North Carolina; one great grandchild, Lauren Axton of Norman, Oklahoma; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Harvey and Betty Berry and Jack and Pauline Berry, both of Ninnekah, Oklahoma; one sister, Vera Collins of Chickasha; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkview Christian Church, P.O. Box 279, Chickasha, Oklahoma 73023. Per Dorothy’s request the casket will be closed at the funeral home and the service.
