Funeral service for James Aaron Lynch, Sr., age 93, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2005, in the Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Kim Hayes will officiate. James Aaron Lynch was born the son of Louis W. Lynch and Mary Lucero Lynch on February 19, 1912, in Black Lake, New Mexico. He died on March 1, 2005 in Chickasha. James grew up in Dulce, New Mexico. In 1942, he joined the United States Army serving in World War II as a 328th Combat Engineer with the 45th Infantry. James served in Algeria, Sicily, Naples, Rome, France, and Germany until his discharge in 1945. He was a member of the VFW. After the death of his first wife, Virgie, James later married Geneva Bostick on August 25, 1972, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. James went to Oklahoma A&M College and graduated with certification in paint and body repair. He worked in paint and body repair for over thirty-five years. Most of this time he worked at Don Martin Chevrolet. He retired at the age of eighty-five. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Fred and Louis Lynch, and one sister, Mary Segura. His first wife, Virgie, and one grandson, Anthony Lynch, also preceded him in death.. Survivors include his wife, Genevia Lynch of the home; daughter, Emma Faye Bolin of Chickasha; son and wife, James A. Lynch, Jr. & Sherry of Chickasha; son, Eddie H. Lynch of Ft. Worth, Texas; son, Louis A. Lynch of Albuquerque, New Mexico; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
