Lancaster 9/28/1881 - 4/12/1942 Mattie Lancaster 5/1/1884 - 12/12/1948 Elsie Fay Lancaster 12/24/1915 - 5/14-1917 are all buried in the Rush Springs cemetery. I found the obit for Lihue Lancaster but can't seem to find one for Mattie. From the Rush Springs Gazette, April 16, 1942, Thursday, front page L.L. Lancaster died Saturday in his home at Ninnekah. He was 62 years of age. Funeral services were held Monday from the Missionary Baptist Church by Rev J.E. Fender, pastor. Interment was made in the local cemetery. Mr. Lancaster came to this district from Texas in 1910 at which time he joined the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Bill and Hubert at home and Luther of Sterling;four daughters, Miss Dora at home, Mrs. Winnie Brooks in Arizona; Mrs. Pearl Spear and Mrs. Jewell Spear of Sterling; and one sister Mrs. Mary Kelly of Sterling, three brothers, J.J. and W.C. of Sterling and L.H. of Bradley. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
