C. Longnecker, living north of town, died at their home Friday morning after an illness of eleven days. The little one was one year, six months and six days of age, and an exceptionally bright little fellow. The cause of its death was due to summer complaint, which often proves so fatal with children. The funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church here Sunday morning, and the little body was laid to rest in the Verden cemetery at eleven o'clock amid a large host of sorrowing friends and relatives. The News joins the many friends in extending condolences to the bereaved ones. Submitted by Sandi Carter
